hot air balloon baby shower

Stephanie's baby shower has been a long time coming! Lela, Kristi and I have been planning our little hearts out to give her the most epic baby shower in existence. I won't take hardly any credit because it was Lela who did most of the work. The theme for the shower was "Up, Up and Away" with hot air balloons because of Stephanie and Parker's struggles with infertility. You can see her awesome "Sky Light" celebration where they sent off a lantern and lots of prayers the night before their IVF transfer. We all prayed lots of prayers up to heaven with all our might that it would work, and it did! Lots of tears (and screaming) were shed when they told us the news that she was pregnant and Lela and I immediately started planning her baby shower within minutes! Ha!
We knew Stephanie would appreciate all the little details (check out her gender reveal party!) so Lela really out-did herself in that department. Unfortunately, I live in another state so it was hard to really do much but I did make these invitations and some other little details (like the food signs).
I spent the night at Lela's on Friday night and we spent all day Saturday morning prepping and making food. Lela is so organized and had been crafting her life away in preparation, so we weren't terribly rushed. It was nice to not feel like chickens with their heads cut off, which is usually the case when I'm entertaining.
Kristi made these super cute succulent favors.
several people offered to help and brought delicious scones.
I love Stephanie, Parker and their baby girl. They are two people who will be incredible parents - loving, kind, patient, smart and good. She is one lucky girl to have a mom and dad like them!

  2. Wow, you guys did a beautiful job! Everything looks gorgeous (and delicious)! And sweet Steph looks so pretty! Wish I could've been there, but I'm glad I at least got to see all the prettiness on your blog. :) So thrilled for Steph & Parker, and so inspired by all of the talent just oozing out of you, Lela & Kristi. You are amazing!

  3. Wow, what a lovely shower! I'm actually planning a bridal shower and bachelorette party for my best friend and would love to know more about how people paid you through Pay Pal.
