grandmary
My mom was here last week and it was lovely. I miss her. She cleaned my house, let me sleep in every morning while she took the baby, made batch after batch of scrambled eggs for Will (he's obsessed lately), gave me lots of good advice and was her super positive and complimentary self. My mom can boost anyone's self-esteem!

We also took pictures of her and Fritz and I'm so glad to have them. It makes me sad that my boys don't know their GrandMary as well as most of their cousins do but I guess that's the price you pay for living in paradise!

In other news: I'm in love with my baby boyfriend. He's so cute that sometimes I think I will blow up like Aunt Marge and float away because I love him so much.

SO glad you got to have your mom, that is what I loved about having a new little one is that I knew I'd have my mom for at least a week. we called her "grammie til wednesday" cause we knew we wanted her till at least the next wed and the next!!! What a sweet little boy you have and that william is sure a doll too!!! congrats to you sweet girl!!!

ReplyDeleteI totally understand where you are coming from. My mother lives about 7,5 hours away by car in Germany and my m-i-l in Finland (although they are living close by for a year now. It's hard not having your mom close.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to add that your mom is beautiful. She must be special, having raised 11 kids and still look so radiant and patient.
And your boy!! It makes me long for our baby so much :)
Great pics Liz! It was wonderful meeting the infamous GrandMary :) Mommies are the BEST! I cried when my Mom left. Why can’t they stay forever? WHY?!?!

ReplyDeleteHe is the most adorable baby ever! And you look SO much like your mom! The one of her holding Fritz lines up right with the one of you on your sidebar and I just kept looking back and forth...you two look so much alike! I know it was so helpful to have my mom there after both my sons were born. I cried when she left after my first!
