William's kindergarten class went to the pumpkin patch at Swan's Trail Farm and I decided at the last minute to drive out with Fritz and Louisa and meet them there. The morning started out really foggy but ended up being the best day for a field trip! I love the crisp air in the fall. I never want it to end. The Farm at Swan's Trail is so beautiful! I'm sad we missed the apple picking season but they had fresh cider donuts, a corn maze, a hay wagon ride through the enormous pumpkin patch and lots of prime places to take a picture. I definitely want to go back as a family and try out the other stuff we didn't get to do.
The drive to the farm was beautiful too! I had to stop and take a picture of this barn. I am crazy for red barns. There's something so charming about them. I should have taken more pictures behind this barn because there was a field with lots of horses running around and a beautiful fog rolling in patches along the grass.
I wish I had been able to get a picture of the kids smiling but this is the only one I got of all of them. They were all too occupied with picking the perfect pumpkin to smile. I get it.
