We arrived at the ranch on Sunday afternoon and, after a light summer supper, we put the kids to bed and stayed up for a bit with my parents to chat. Since we were the first to arrive, we got our first pick of the bedrooms in the ranch house and we also got some quality alone time with my parents, which was nice. I love the colors of the ranch. The sky is such an intense blue and I love the yellow paint and bright blue shutters that my parents picked for the ranch house. It's so colorful and vibrant.
Monday morning included lots of playing around, riding the quads and David mowed the front lawn. My mom and Louisa snuggled on the front porch swings and it made me so happy to see them bonding. I wish we lived closer to my parents and the rest of my family. Why can't all the people I love, live on one big street forever and ever (with constant 70 degree weather, inexpensive cost of living, awesome restaurants and no natural disaster threats)? Doesn't that sound perfect?
That afternoon, David and I took out a couple of the quads for a long ride around the ranch while my parents watched the kids. It was so beautiful and I took wayyyy too many pictures of the scenery. The sky was just so BIG and BLUE and there were wildflowers everywhere. Sometimes, pictures just don't capture how beautiful something is.
Amen to all our loved with living on the same street, etc.... and about the photos not doing justice to the beauty! Your photos are awesome, but it's spectacular in real life!
