art party

William's fifth birthday party was a fun time. I kept it pretty simple and he was happy. He has really been into arts and crafts lately so when I asked him what he wanted to do for his party, he said, "Paint!" I bought some mini canvases and let the kids paint with some washable kid's paint. Then they made their own mini pizzas and played in the play room. He blew out candles on his chocolate cake (per his request) and then opened presents from his friends and cousins... they were ALL Legos! Ha! He was excited because he doesn't have any Legos (except Duplos). Now he has a real collection started!
On Sunday was his real birthday so we went to church and they sang to him there, but mostly he played with his leftover balloons that David got for him, and then we had spaghetti for dinner (his other request). He got a new scooter from his Gramma and Grampa Bryant and David and I got him an art box. I got him this container and filled it with crayons, markers (he recently discovered scented markers at Aunt Stephanie's house last month and loved them!), glue sticks, scissors, his own tape dispenser (so he will stop stealing mine!), colored pencils, construction paper and little crafty knick-knacks. He has been playing with it non-stop!
