I tried, I really did. Everyone wants a cute picture of their children in their Easter outfits and so I decided I was going to get my boys all dressed up and take some pictures out on the front lawn. It was perfect lighting and they were both well-rested and fed - what could go wrong? Lots. Well, not wrong really - just not "picture perfect". Neither of them would sit still long enough to get a shot of them sitting up together but that's OK because that's not them. My boys are crazy active (especially Frederick) so after about 10 minutes of trying to wrangle them off of each other, I decided to embrace it because this is what my life is like 95% of the time. These two are constantly wrestling, hugging, playing or fighting. So even though these pictures aren't "perfect" with their outfits straight and their hair combed just right, they're pretty perfect to me because it reflects who my boys were on this day. And they're oh, so sweet.
We also did manage to get a shot of the three of us in front of the church in our Easter Sunday ensembles. David stayed home because he's awfully sick (poor guy) and I made it to our meeting with a couple of minutes to spare - pretty proud of myself since I was totally running late too! Neither of my boys are looking at the camera but - hey! - it's a picture of us together on Easter so whatever.
