family photos 2013

A couple of weeks ago I saw that Blue Lily had posted on Facebook that they were in need of some models for a photo shoot in North San Diego. I quickly threw my name on there and said a little prayer that we'd get picked. I didn't hear anything back so I assumed that someone else got lucky. The next day was Saturday and we were having lunch when I checked my phone and saw a message from Wendy at Blue Lily. The family they had planned to shoot got sick and had to cancel at the last minute and she wondered if we could do it. Of course, I said yes! It was about noon and she wanted us to drive up north about 40 minutes away within a couple of hours. I was still in gym clothes and I was stressing out about getting all of us dressed in cute outfits - outfits that I would've normally spent weeks shopping for and putting together! Thankfully I was able to throw together something for each of us that was alright and I love how the pictures turned out.

When we got there I was shocked that it wasn't just Blue Lily but a whole group of about 14 photographers that they were teaching a workshop to. Each photographer shot their own pictures and have slowly been sending them to me and I love seeing what they each captured. These were taken by Harmony Pyper.
The below photos were taken by Miranda Stratford.

  5. Beautiful family, and I love your outfits. Also, what gorgeous landscape! I live in Chicago, and while I love the lake and city-scape, there is something so refreshing about the green outdoor landscape.
