house tour: frederick's nursery

I've had this room 95% done for months now but had to wait until this week to put everything up. It took me several weeks to receive some items I ordered online. So frustrating! I'm really happy with how it turned out. I don't really care for "themed" rooms but I realize this is pretty nautical because of all the stripes and lots of the things I liked had something to do with the sea. It all started with the Wayne Pate seagull print that I fell in love with.
I really wanted to buy this Dwell Studio rug but I couldn't afford it so I bought this rug from IKEA and painted thick stripes on it using Frog tape and Allen + Roth - trolley (Valspar Satin Finish). I love the persimmony color.

  7. Very cute! Although I live in an area known for earthquakes, so NOTHING gets hung on the wall above beds/cribs.
