house tour: kitchen

We got really lucky when we found our house. It had been recently renovated and we were the first people to live in it after it was redone.
The kitchen has lots of windows and I love being able to look out at William playing in the backyard from the kitchen sink. We have a wonderful gas stove (something that's been a dream of mine for several years) and nice appliances. We have a cozy breakfast nook (although it's a little too cozy and our dining table had to go live in storage) and enough space for my many, many cookery items and serving dishes.

  1. I love your big red fork! Where did you get it. Please say you didn't carve it, sand it, spray paint it and poly it. I wouldn't be surprised with you.

  5. Oh, Annie. You're so funny. The fork is from D.I. in Idaho Falls. I got it for $.50. It was the deal of the century. I did spray paint it though! :)

As for the magazine rack (which we use for mail and bills) I got it at Home Goods for $15.
