sov gott, gute Nacht, bonne nuit

Bedtime is one of the best times of the day now that William is a master sleeper. Seriously, 13 hours of uninterrupted sleep for him + uninterrupted time for me and David = one happy family. When seven o'clock rolls around, the bedtime lotion is being rubbed in between William's toes while he giggles ticklishly. We brush his wet curls, smell his freshly bathed skin and then I kiss his hands as they reach up for my mouth while I nurse him before bed. Then, wrapped up in his cow blankee, he holds his cup of milk while we read The Big Red Barn. The humidifier and sound machine are turned on while the light and William go out until morning.

And I miss him all night.

  3. Our little guy is sleeping through the night too and I can't agree more. The 13 hours of predictability are nice but I am always happy to see his smiling face in the am.
