girls

I don't have much to say except that I am DYING for this baby girl to be born. Almost everyone else I know who was due the same time as me has already had their baby so I'm getting really antsy to post my picture on Instagram too! :) Nothing like social media to make you feel jealous about another person's childbirth!

In the mean time my sister, Heidi, is here with her kids from Georgia to keep my mind occupied (that's not why they came, but it sure is convenient!). Last week she sent me this picture of us when we were on vacation in Washington and she was being a moody teenager. Our mom wanted to take pictures of us in our cute dresses she had made out of Ralph Lauren sheets (my mom, I tell you what!) and Heidi was having none of it. Then I started mocking her bad attitude and my mom snapped the picture just then. Classic. This kind of thing makes me laugh and gives me a panic attack at the same time... what will I do with all the girl drama that is awaiting me! Ha!
Heidi is the closest sister I have in age (which is 8 or 9 years, I think) and she used to wake up with me in the night as a baby and rock me back to sleep. My mom must have been busy with the other 9 children or something. :)

I hope I have this baby soon! It'll be fun to be able to share my baby girl with the sister who helped take care of me as a baby, especially since I don't get to see her very often! I went to the doctor today and the baby is definitely making her way down and getting ready. I'm 50% effaced, 2 cm, which is nothing really, but it's something! Lots of contractions and I'm excited to share pictures of her soon!

  2. I remember Heidi's "sassy summer" very well! :) She was a great babysitter though. She has always been really good with babies.... remember how she take a semester off school in 8th grade to go babysit Diane's new baby?

  3. That's a great picture of you two, no matter if Heidi was being Moody. ;) Actually, it just kind of looks like she's pondering... or tired. To me, at least. Great dresses, too. :) So pretty and modest.
