Here's the second half of my chair reupholstery project. Spoiler alert: the finished product looks like this. It's pretty cute and I'm happy with it.
pillow from Target. |
One of these days when we stop going out of town, I will take a picture of the whole room. I think it's come a long way from when we first moved in. So, here's how I removed the fabric from the chair and put it back on (I also primed and painted the legs the same color as my sideboard). I'm tired of typing up directions so I put a small description of each step on each picture. I hope it's helpful to anyone out there who might want to try to tackle a reupholstery project. If you reupholster something, send me the link!
I use a butter knife to push the fabric through. It's free and works great. |
one more time! |
Love the chair! Wish I had one to recover.
ReplyDeleteHow long did the process take you?
Looks so cute! Very impressed!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! Good job!
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe. Of the chair, of the fact that you actually reupholstered it, and of you! You are inspiring. And the chair is delightful. I love it paired with the yellow pillow, too. Too, too cute.
ReplyDeleteI am sooo impressed, but I still don't think I have the guts to ever try it myself!
ReplyDeletedang you, you keep doing crazy cute things to your house! every time i saw that pillow at target i swooned and thought, if i had a blue couch.... and there you go making your own. maybe someday {i.e. when i live close} you can teach me to be a homeowner like you. ;)
