let your hearts be light

It's hard to believe that last Christmas William was this small. He was super snuggly and squishy, was majorly balding on top and had no idea what was going on with all the presents.

I'm so excited to spend Christmas with my family this year. I love our family traditions on Christmas Eve at my parent's house. We all dress up fancy, set the beautiful table with the beautiful linens and sing the 12 Days of Christmas from my mom's special plates before we dig into our feast and drink our sparkling grape juice. Then we all sit around the grand piano and sing carols, listen to my sister read The Other Wise Man, watch the children do the Nativity while my dad reads Luke 2 and there's always a niece and/or nephew just dying to play their Christmas recital piece on the piano or other musical instrument. Then we present our group gift to my parents and our sibling gifts before everyone leaves to their own homes (except I get to stay at my parents). It's wonderful and I can't wait. As soon as David's gets home from work we'll hop in the car and head out. Yahoo!

Merry Christmas to you all!
