this restaurant is amazing. if we lived closer (and had more cash) then I would be a repeat customer there. we both had their fabulous french onion soup (2nd only to the capital grille's) and then david had the short ribs while I had the flat iron steak with truffle and parmesan fries. heaven. we both shared the chocolate souffle for dessert. heaven again.
it was wonderful to spend some time with my honey. I haven't seen him much lately since he was out of town part of last week and then I was out of town for part but it made me realize how grateful I am that I get to see him as often as I do. I work with some people whose husbands are in iraq or they are separated because of work. while it's hard that he's at school late most nights and then has to come home to more work, I'm grateful that I have him at all. I'm extremely fortunate to have such a caring, hardworking, loving, responsible, patient, fun and attractive man in my life.
as we were driving home from dinner, david asked me what I think has improved between us in the last 2 years. I was thankful to say that we've both become more understanding, more thoughtful and more patient with each other while growing closer in our marriage. I'm confident that this growth will continue over the many years to come.
I made him a card last night that said, "I love you more than all the tea in china" - and I do.
You look amazing - as always!!! I'm glad that you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and may many more follow.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to both of you. When it's "the real thing," and you are mindful of caring for it, love does get better with age and time. At least, that's been my experience.
