conversations girls have

I live for girls nights. A couple of friends had birthdays so we met at a Mexican restaurant and talked until the place closed down. The poor servers were cleaning up and turning off the lights in parts of the restaurant, trying to give us a hint, but we still stayed until they had been closed a good while. Since we weren't done talking we hit up a diner and got hot chocolate and chatted some more.
there's something really weird about me in this picture. I can't figure out what it is.
Seriously, being able to talk to a bunch of girls who like to talk as much as I do, does a Lizzy good. Since I'm not married to one of those "talker guys" who asks about feelings and such, I have to get my fix somewhere. When I was on my way to the restaurant I started wondering, "What are we going to talk about tonight?" There are always a few things that inevitably come up when you're married with small children but I always get excited just anticipating some good, adult conversation with girls who are fun, smart and have varying and unique talents. Sounds cheesy - but yay for friends!

  1. I know exactly what you mean! But I also had to say that I thought you looked great in that picture! So pretty!

  2. I totally get this. I married a non talker too... so it means the world to sit and just talk about whatever for a few hours. Cause even when you get together with couples, the men mostly just sit and stare at each other while the girls catch up. So you might as well just go with the girls! ;)
